GERMAN MOTORISTS
HOT ALLOWED TO SMOKE BOTH HANDS FOR WHEEL BERLIN, July 4. General Daluege, chief of the German uniformed police, lias issued an order that motorists in Germany may not in future smoke while driving. The number of accidents in Germany, it is stated, is so 'high that every effort 'must be made to improve the standard of driving; A driver needs both hands on the wheel and cannot spare one of them to knock* off his ash. In addition there is always danger of drivers becoming partially blinded by particles of ash flying into their eyes.
