The number of accidents in Germany, it is stated, is so 'high that every effort 'must be made to improve the standard of driving; A driver needs both hands on the wheel and cannot spare one of them to knock* off his ash. In addition there is always danger of drivers becoming partially blinded by particles of ash flying into their eyes.
