TERROR IN BULGARIA
EXTENSIVE EARTHQUAKE FIVE TOWNS SHAKEN (Reed. Aug. 11, 9 a.m.) SOFIA, Aug. 10. A scene of terror was .witnessed in five towns in central Bulgaria, when an area extending over 800 square miles was shaken (by a severe earthquake. Walls were cracked and chimneys toppled down. Inhabitants rushed into the streets panic-stricken. The towns affected included Plovdid, the second largest in Bulgaria. .No details of casualties are available.
