(Herald Correspondent.) Mild'and unsettled weather conditions have followed the severe frosts recently experienced l throughout the Waioeka Valley. Several early 'lambs have made their appearance in the district. (Mr. and l (Mrs. R. Lowden, with their family, (have arrived to take up their residence at Ooonae. Mr. Lowden will succeed Mr. W. Young, Public Works Department foreman, who is being transefrred to Opotiki.—’ M,r, and Mrs. Jean Gellert have returned to Auckland after spending a short holiday with Mr. Gellert’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Gellert. Wairata—Mrs. Cairns, Upper Waioeka, and her small son, are both inmates of the Opotiki Public Hospital.
