The gallery totalled 900 .spectators. A feature was the match between McCabe the Australian champion, and Roussel. McCabe won by liis unfailing accuracy. Results of play were, the Australians being mentioned first in each instance: — Miss Harper defeated Miss Pearce, 11—15, 15—5, 18—14. Misses Hewett and Robert defeated Mrs.'Wren and Miss Fleming, 15 —12, 15—11. McCabe defeated Rousscll, 15—12, 15—3. Tonkin and Miss Cuthertson defeated Speddiiicr and Mrs. Wren, 15— 11, 15—4. Miss Robert lost tb Miss Fleming, 11—7, 9—12, 3—ll. Mrs. Wray and Miss B. Cuthbertson lost to Mrs. Hawksworth and Miss Kerr. 4—15, 2—15.
