DAMAGE TO FLYING BOAT
TAKE-OFF AT BASRA (Reed. August 10. 9 a.m.) LONDON, August 9. A Basra report states that the bow of tlie Imperial Airways flying-boat Australia, bound for Karachi from Southampton, was stove in when the plane grounded on taking oil', but there were no casualties.
