"BEAUTY QUEEN" DEAD
LONDON, July G, Miss Mercia Franklin, a "beauty queen," who some years ago only just missed gaining the title of "Miss England," was found dead at Arlington House, Piccadilly. The police believe '.hat death was clue to an overdose of drugs. Miss Franklin, who was .'JO, had occupied a flat on the fifth floor for some weeks. She had been ill recently.
