REMAND FOR A WEEK

(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this clay. Clare Norecn Hill, a married woman, aged 24, was charged the Police Court to-day with the murder of an infant, Brian Holmes Hill. Detective-Sergeant Naldcr asked for a remand till August 14. Mr. Jacobsen, the accused, said: "I do not suppose there is any use to ask for bail.” The Magistrate, Mr. W. R. McKean: 1 think some other steps will probably be taken. The remand was granted.
