Leith, representing an enemy cruiser, engaged the batteries ,at Fort Dorset and' Palmer Head in mock bombardments, and also attempted to enter the harbour under cover of darkness. She was unable to escape detection by the searchlights, however, Four Blackburn Baffin bombing planes did reconnaissance work and staged ai bombing "attack” on the Ship.
