SCENIC ROAD WORK

Reconservalion being done on the Tirau-Taupo main highway has rendered the route dangerous for any uut experienced motorists during wet weather. In several parts blasting is taking place and large deviations are a feature of the work. The road should be ready for sealing in time for the tourist season. Wiien the whole CO-mile length is completed it will be one of 'the most picturesque roads in the North Island.
