MR. H. W. CRAWFORD DEAD

NOTED NORTHLAND FIGURE (Per Press Association.) WHANGAREI, this day. Mr. H. W. Crawford, managing director of the Northern Publishing Company, expired without warning at 8 o’clock this morning. The deceased was born at Maungakaramea 57 years ago. He was a school teacher for 20 years, and: was first assi-s'ta.nt at Whangarei Primary School when he bought the controlling interest of the Publishing Company. He was one of the best known public men in Northland.
