OPEN GOLF TITLE AUSTRALIAN CONDITIONS (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. August 3, 3 p.m.) MELBOURNE, August 3. Nearly 50 entries, including that of Miss Babe Didrikson, have been rejected for the Australian open golf championship, to be played on the Royal Melbourne course on August 24, 25 and 26. The match committee in a statement said: “Because of the large number of entries received (183) the match committee of the Royal Melbourne Club decided to reject all entrants with handicaps of more than two from standard scratch, or five from par. The entries accepted total 135.”
