STRANDED PORT BOWEN HEAVY ANCHORS LAID (Por Press Association.) WANGANUI, this flay. It is not known when a start will be made to unload cargo in the stranded Port Bowen, but all arrangements for doing so are toeing pushed ahead. - Three mushroom anchors, attached to long heavy steel cables, were laid yesterday. 'On the seaward side of the vessel is l£ft. cf water at high tide, with 15ft. on the shore side. An unsuccessful attempt was made to-day to float a portable boiler out to the Port ißcwen on a pontoon, which CEpsized, the boiler being deposited in the sea. It is intended to send 27 fireme r back,to England as soon as passages can 'ije arranged. /
