ARMY LIAISON OFFICER

MAJOR PARK’S DUTIES CONTACT IN ENGLAND (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, announced yesterday that, in connection with the appointment of Major R. S. Park, formerly district artillery officer of the central military district, as New Zealand army liaison officer in Lohdon, that MajorPark would leave for England on August 11. One of his chief duties would be to keep closely in touch with what is taking place in Britain and be available to the Home authorities for information as to what is taking place in New Zealand. Another of his duties would be to endeavour to expedite various orders that the New Zealand Government had placed.
