AUSTRALIAN PRECAUTION
BAN ON FOREIGNERS DEFENCE CONTRACT WORK (Reed. Aug. 3, 9 a.m.) CANBERRA, Aug. 2. The Commonwealth Government lias taken safeguarding steps against espionage and sabotage in regard to the Australian defence activities by insisting in all contracts that no foreign- workmen 'shall be employed in the construction of munitions, supply or defence works and also that no persons of direct foreign extraction be permitted' to obtain employment in any munition establishments.
