Gisborne Wedding

Sinclair—Morrison down ol’ Ivory Satin ( A pretty wedding was solemnise'.! in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, on Saturday, July 22. when Mary Stuart, third daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sinclair, of Springfield, Belfast, Northern Ireland, was married by the Rev. Mr. Thompson to Isaac Reid, second son of Mrs. Morrison and the late Mr. Samuel .uorr.san. c<i" Drumaduan, Coleraine. County Derry, Northern Ireland. The bride, who was escorted by Mr. W. J. Parcelle, looked charming in a gown of ivory satin, the bodice showing a deep yoke of net appliqued in satin and leg-o’-mutton sleeves tei - initiating in a point over the back of either hand. The flared skirt swept into a graceful square-cut train inlet vv.Ui applique net repeating the motif on the yoke. Her beautiful veil of tulle was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom caught on cither side with miniature arum lilies. Ivory satin .jhoes were worn with stockings '■ match, and a round, trailing bouquet of white roses, camellias and arum lilies, intermingled with asparagus and maidenhair fern, was carried. A pearl brooch and a single string of pearls were her only ornaments. Matron of Honour The bride was attended by Mrs. George Sinclair as matron of honour, wearing a frock of pale pink chiffon mounted on satin in a deep shade ol pink. The shirred bodice was designed with a square neckline and short sleeves, and the long, slightlytrained skirt just revealed satin slippers. A short tulle veil caught with a top knot of blue flowers made an attractive headdress, and long cream gloves and a trailing bouquet composed of pale pink roses, camellias and carnations, relieved with touches of blue, completed the picturesque ensemble. Tile bridegroom’s gift to the matron of honour was a double string of pearls with a platinum clasp. Mr. W. McLean was best man, and Mr. Alex Paton carried out the duties of usher. After the ceremony a delightful reception was held at Messrs. Findlay s tea rooms. The guests were received by Mrs. W. J. Parcelle, who wore a twilight blue frock and hat, with a navy blue coat and matching accessories. Her posy was composed of violets and carnations. The Rev. Mr. Thompson acted as toastmaster. j The wedding breakfast was served at flower-decked tables, the handsome two-tier cake forming an effective centrepiece on the table of the bridal party. The bride and bridegroom left later for their future home on the Mahin Peninsula, the bride travelling in a smart two-piece suit of navy blue silk with white accents, and a matching hat. worn with a coat in a lighter shnd< of blue, and navy accessories.
