REMAND GRANTED
MOTORIST BEFORE COURT INTOXICATION ALLEGED Alleged by (the police to have been found intoxicated while in. charge of a motor vehicle at Makaraka on Saturday, a Maori labourer, Rongo Roman a, aged 28, appeared before Mr. E. L. Walton, :SJM., in the Police Court this morning. A plea of not guilty to the offence was entered by Mr. G. J. Jeune, who appeared for the defendant, and on the application of Senior-'Sergeant J. F. H. Ma'cnamara, a remand was granted until August 7. Bail was .granted, being fixed at £SO and one surety of the same amount.
