OBITUARY

MR. T. T. SCOTT The death has occurred of Mr. Thomas Torrance Scott, who was borax in Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, 76 years ago. Mr. Scott and his family came to New Zealand 29 years ago and took up farming at Te Kara'ka. After farming for four years at Ngarua, Mr. Scott took up 3000 acres at Kaimai, near Tauranga. After the war he subdivided the property into five 'blocks, retaining the homestead for himself, while the other blocks were taken by four of his sons. He is survived* by Mrs. Scott, eight sons and one daughter.
