LIAISON IN CRISIS
BROADCASTING PLANS PRESS AND CINEMAS (Reed. July 29. 11 a.m.) LONDON, July 28. Speaking in the House of Commons, the Home Secretary, Sir Samuel Hoare, announced that the British Broadcasting Corporation would not be taken over by the Government in wartime, but there would -be a substantial liaison as with the -press and cinemas. There would be a censorship on both, hut considerable latitude would be allowed the press on the basis of co-operation.
