A. report from Pekin, states that torrential rains and disastrous floods stopped the Japanese operations in Nprth China. Thousands of people were rendered homeless. The town of Tungchow was engulfed. Only one of four railways from Pcivin is operating. Hundreds of houses in Pekin collapsed.
