LAMB A SHADE EASIER MUTTON DEMAND STEADY (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board's report on the Smithfielri market, covering the period ended July 27, states:— “Lam'b.—The tendency of the market is a shade easier, with prices lor some grades slightly lower. “Mutton.—Wethers are firm on a better demand. Ewes are steady, with prices unchanged. “Beef. —Frozen beef is firm, with prices higher. Chilled beef prices are a shade easier this week. “Pork—The market for New Zealand porker pigs is quiet, prices being unchanged, fiaconer pigs are firmer, owing to a shortage of supplies.
