NAZI ARMY SWAY

DANZIG DEVELOPMENTS PARADES IN STREETS SCHOOLS AS BARRACKS OPPRESSION OF JEWS (Elec. Tel. Copyright—-United Press Assn.) (Reed. July 28, 2 p.m.) LONDON, July 27. The Danzig correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain says that all the Nazi defence organisations have been incorporated in the First Danzig Army under the East Prussian command, now part of the Reich Army.

Militarisation continues. Detachments of anti-tank guns are parading in the streets. The school holidays have been prolonged as the buildings are used as barracks.

The Senate has issued a decree depriving Jews of the power to administer business investments and land. This is the continuation of the policy to Aryanise Danzig as a prelude to a return to the Reich.

The Senate purchased and demolished the Central Synagogue and Jewish cemeteries and other properties. There are at present 4000 Jews in the city. The majority are trying to leave.

The Polish Minister, M. Chodacki, lias again sent a note to the Senate demanding the punishment of the Nazis involved in last week’s frontier shootings.
