DEFENCE OF HONG KONG
COMPULSORY SERVICE (Reed. July 28, 2.40 p.m.) HONG KONG, July 27. The bill providing for compulsory defence service by all Britons residing in the colony has been passed in the Legislative Council and now needs only the signature of the Governor of Hong Kong, Sir Gebffry Northcote, to become law.
