FORCED LANDING MADE
MISSING COAST PLANE PILOT’S W ALK FOR AID (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Director of Civil Aviation stated to-day that the missing West Coast aeroplane made a successful forced landing about 4.45 p.m. near the junction of the Taipo River and Seven Mile Creek. It took the pilot from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. to walk to a road. He was sitting resting wh.cn Mr. Park, an instructor ol ;the West Coast Aero Club, and a companion, who wore assiting in the search, arrived in a car and took him. to a homestead from where ho telephoned to the director The plane is only slightly damaged, but it is in a, very remote part of the district.
