The snowstorm in the Watroa district yesterday was the worst experienced for 20 years or more, and the light snow which fell in the town was the first to lie on the ground there since 1917. Following the storm in the morning, the remainder of the- day was beautifully line, the weather remaining fair this morning. The hills are still blanketed in white, and in some of the outlying districts stock losses are reported to be heavy.
