POTATO CHIP IN THROAT

MAN’S SUDDEN DEATH COLLAPSE DURING MEAL (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. A potato chip wedged in his throat is believed to have caused the death of Ray ‘Marshall, a married man, a motor mechanic, aged 43, who collapsed and died after suddenly leaving a meal in a city restaurant early this morning. __ Shortly after midnight Mr. Marshall and two friends ordered a meal in a restaurant which included potato chips. In -the middle of the meal he .became convulsed and rushed out to the street, but he collapsed at the restaurant door. He was taken to the hospital, where he was found to ibe dead. Doctors found a potato chip wedged in his throat, and concluded that this had caused death.
