DEATH OF MOTORIST CORONER’S VERDICT GIVEN (Special to the Herald.) WAIROA, last night. J P.. when returning a finding of the inque'st into the death of Het'ber, Neil 'Galbraith, of Ba'st'ngs. who war killed at TabJaenul on July 13 ween Che car which he wab driving ran over n back mid into a stream. , Giving this finding, Mr. winter pointed out that there were no eyewitnesses and no one to say how the car 'went over the bank. Consequently, the coroner w'as unable to say whetnei death was 'accidental or not. The verdict was that the deceased was killed at Tabaenui when the car in which h e was driving from Nun aka to Wairoa went over the bank into the Tahaenui River. The evidence did 110't disclose how the car went over the bank. , Galbraith was a single man, agec about 40, and was manager of tnc wool department of the Hawke s BanFarmers’ Co-operative Association, Limited, at Hastings. Sergeant D. Clark conducted too proceedings for the police. Mr. C. RSainsbury appearing for the relatives, and Mr. C. V. Chamberlain appeared for the Wairoa County Council.
