Reed. 2 p.m. RUGBY, July 25. ■ Speaking in the House of Commons to-day, the Dominions Secretary, Sir Thomas Insk'p, announced that agreement had been reached on the financial requirements of New Zealand ia the United Kingdom, which had been under discussion with the New Zealand Minister'Of Finance, Mr. W. Nash, as ‘well as the trade position, the agreement on which was published as a White Paper last Thursday.

Sir Thomas Inskip said as regards the former subject that the British Government agreed in principle that the facilities of the Export Credits Guarantee Department would be made available to assist in financing United Kingdom exports to New Zealand. Under this arrangement credits up to £5.000,000 would be made available on approved conditions for .purchases by the New Zealand Government for defence or other purposes.

Short-term export credit facilities up to £4.000,000 would also be made available under suitable conditions to cover exports from the United Kingdom to importers in New Zealand other than the New Zealand Government.
