Commander C. B. Tinley, who recently relinquished the position of naval officer in charge of the Devonporl naval base, has been appointed commander in H.M.S. Southampton, one of the new City class cruisers. The Southampton is shortly to be recommissioned and Commander Tinley expects to remain with her, when she will go to South Africa to become flagship of the Cape.
