“DREADFUL WASTE”

TIME OP PARLIAMENT WAIT FOR MINISTER (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. “No legislation, nothing prepared. A dreadful waste of time for five weeks,” declared Mr. S. G. Holland (Nat., Christchurch North) when he carried on the Address-.in-Reply debate in the House of Representatives yesterday.

Members, he added, were called together to put through the Imprest Supply Bill and were keeping things going since then. “It would appear,” he added, “that nothing can happen so far as the Government is concerned while its distinguished Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, is absent, so we have to carry on with this debate week after week awaiting his return."
