MAY BE INEVITABLE
PLEBISCITE OF FARMERS GUARANTEED PRICE (Pur Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Commenting on the guaranteed price in a newspaper article, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, said that large numbers of communications had been received Tom farmers about the matter and, in view of that fact the Government was holding over for the time being the question of holding a plebiscite, but unless substantial numbers of farmers indicated what they really think of the matter, a plebiscite would be inevitable.
“We must find out where we are in regard to -the guaranteed price md marketing scheme,” he said.
