Measuring Crayfish
"How do you -measure a crayfish?" asked Mr. j. Miller, S.M., when two i-'AndanAs were charged in the Police Court with taking and selling crav-fi-h under the prescribed size. I; was explained by Mr. T. Mitchell, collector of -customs at Napier, that the prescribed '.oini-mum length at which crayfish could be taken or sold under the .salt water fisheries amendment regulations, 1938, No. 2, was Pin. from the tip of the rostrum (or beak) to the tip of the tail.
