SOCIAL EVENINGS
TAMARAU INSTITUTE Despite the cold weather, the Tam aha u Women’s Institute’s card evenings in the Kaiti Church Hall continue to : be well attended ana thoroughly enjoyed, as was evidenced by the 'happy gathering last Saturday. A delicious supper was served at the close of play, and among the prizewinners were Mrs. Cains, Mr. MacDonald and Mrs. Mogford.
On Tuesday evening the monthly social evening was held in the Poho-o-Rawiri Hall, and the many members and friends present joined In all the well-known dances, to music supplied toy Mrs. Ledger. Mr. Ledger was the M.C.
A Monte 'Carlo waltz for adults was won by Mrs. Rhodes and Mr. Henzler, aad the winners of the children's dance were Pauline Herbert and Dorothy Tucker. A short humorous sketch was presented ’by the drama circle, those taking partibeing Mesdames Hall. Gray and MacDonald. A much appreciated supper was -served.
