VETERAN'S FUNERAL

LATE MR. THOMAS McKAY The funeral look place yesterday afternoon of Mr. Thomas McKay, late sergeant in the Sectorth Highlanders and a veteran of the Afghan, and Egyptian campaigns, who was buried in the South African veterans’ plot at the Tninherit cemetery. Members of the South African Veterans’ Association. of which the deceased was an honorary member, acted as pallbearers. with n representative of the Ex-Imperial Sailors and Soldiers’ Association. Piper A. McDonald played the "Lament” at the graveside, and Bugler Owen sounded the “Last Post” and ' Rouse.” The service Was Conducted by tho Rev. H. A. Gould.
