“SPONGING" ON FRIENDS
N.Z. MAN IN SYDNEY CURRENCY RESTRICTIONS (Reed, July 25, 2.40 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 25. Mr. Johnstone, a New Zealand racing man, said to-day that the monetary restrictions in New Zealand had forced him to “sponge on his friends for a holiday in Australia. He said: “I have to live on my friends here as the Reserve Bank would not give me my money. i am landing here without a shilling from the bank.”
