MAN FOUND SHOT
MISSING FROM HOME RIFLE NEAR BODY (Per Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. A tragic discovery marked the end of the police search for Alfred John Gordon, aged about 53 years. Nelson Crescent, Napier, who had been reported missing from his home since Monday, when his body, with a bullet wound in the head, was found in marsh land near the aerodrome at Napier yesterday afternoon. A .22 calibre rifle was found near the body.
