DEBATE ON BUDGET OPPOSITION ASSURED (Per Press Association.) \VKLLINQTO. this day Asked by the Leader of the Opposition, tin. Hon. Adam Hamilton, when the House of Representatives met yesterday afternoon, why he had not made a statement in the House on Friday outlining the conclusion of the negotiations in London by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, arid also when he proposed to give the House an opportunity to discuss tins important subject, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, stated that, in the first place, the action ot the Government was in line with the agreement between the British Ministers and Mr. Nash, that sinutltniienu: statements on the subject should be published in Britain and New Zealand The Government had kept that agreement to the letter. As far as discussion of the negotiations by the House was concerned, honourable members would get plentv of opportunity to discuss them during the Budget debate; in fact, there had b- on considerable discussion on the ini lone already, although mem'.v'l■■ mi familiar with the doi il; of them (Laughter.)
