BASKETBALL DRAW
COMPETITION GAMES SATURDAY'S FIXTURES Two basketball teams. St. Mary’s A and High School A. will meet for the first time this season on Saturday, according to the programme of matches arranged by the Poverty Bay Basketball Association. Both teams have gained good positions on the points table for the A grade, and special interest will be displayed in the contest. A match in the B grade and another in the C grade have been postponed on account of the visit of two High School teams to Te Karak'a on Saturday.
The draw in the several grades has been announced as follows:—
A Grade.—H.S.O.G. A2 v. Marathon, on No. 4 court, at 2.45 pan., referee Miss M. Bloxham; St. Mary’s A v. High School A, No. 1, 2.45 p.m., Miss 1. Somervell; Tuis v. Hula. No. 1,2 pan.. Miss I. Somervell; H.S.O.G. A 1 v. Wool worths, No. 2.2 pan.. Miss M. Curtis: Huia v. Woolworths, No. 3, 3.30 pan., Mrs. E. Carmichael.
B Grade.—Y.M.C.A. 2 v. St. Mary’s 81. on No. 4 court, at 3.30 p.m., referee Mr. Ansel 1: ’St. Mary’s B2 v. Y.M.C.A. 2, No. 3. 2 pan.. Mr. Ansell; Y.M.C.A. 1 v. Cash Stores. No,. 4,. 2. p,m„ Miss O. Nor berg: St. Mary’s B2 v 7 Y.M.C.A. 1, No. 1. 3.30 pan., Mr. : .Anseij; High School B v. Caledonian, to be played later.
C Grade.—High School C v. H.S.O.G. C, to be played later; St. Mary's C2 v. St. Mary’s C 3, on No. 2 court, at 3.30 pan., referee Miss N. Miller; St. Mary’s Cl v. Wesley, No. 2, 2.45 p.m., Miss M. Armstrong; Kia Toa v. Mangapapa C. No. 3, 2.45 pan., Mrs. E. Carmichael. Groundsmen.—Huia and Wesley.
