CHAMPIONSHIP DRAW PRESIDENT'S TROPHY (ITi'rn hi Correspondent.) On Saturday the third qualifying round of the championship of the Wairoa Golf Club was played, the weather being ideal. Paeroa Cup.—Morrison plays Millar; Barton plays J. General Competitions The final cf the President’s Trophy competition tock place last week-end and after a close, interesting game Mowat and Hinckesman defeated Jones and McDonald. 2 up. Both semi-finals in the Prebble Trophy have been played, the results being: Crawford beat Pomare: Bauld. jun., beat Martin. The final most probably will be played next week-end and with Crawford having to give his young opponent quite a few strokes handicap, a good game should result. The Moore Tiki holders, Scott and Prebole, proved just too good for the challengers. Crawford and Pomare, the game finishing at the eighteenth green.
