transfer to te kuiti P. AND T. OFFICIAL On the occasion of his transfer to Te Kuiti, Mr. J. F. Burrows, assistant overseer of the telegraph branch of the P. and T. Department, Gisborne, was farewelled yesterday by members of the staff, the departing officer being the recipient 'of a presentation from his fellow-workers. In making the presentation the telegraph engineer, Mr. M. R. Milne, referred to Mr. Burrows’ two years of service in Gisborne and complimented him on his transfer, as it also included promotion to overseer at Te Kuiti. The good wishes offered by the engineer were endorsed by other speakers, these including the chief postmaster, Mr. A. M. 'Robertson. The guest of honour briefly responded. Mr. Burrows, who came to Gisborne from Hastings two years ago, left this morning for Te Kuiti.
