COAST BASKETBALL
RUATORIA TOURNAMENT GOOD GAMES WITNESSED (Herald Correspondent.) Weather conditions were not of the best for the basketball tournament held in Ruatoria last week-end. Rain fell most of the afternoon, making the court very slippery, but nevertheless some good games were witnessed, and, considering the weather, there was a good attendance of spectators. Afternoon tea was provided at the residence of Mrs. J. Penfold. Tawhiorangi and Ruatoria were the most '.successful teams, winning all their matches.
Following are the results: —Tawhiorangi 8, Tawhiti 1; Tawhiorangi 5. Rakairoa 2; Tawhiorangi 10, Te Puia 0: Ruatoria 10, Matarau 0: Ruatoria 0, Rakairoa 0.
