SERIOUS COLLISION

HORSEMAN INJURED A serious' accident occurred on Friday night near the bottom of Te Ante Hill when a motor car driven by a Maori, 'and 'two horse'.-? which were being ridden by two brothers, Messrs E. and D. Priest, came into collision. One of the horses was killed outright. The two front legs of the second horse were broken and the animal was destroyed. One of the brothers, Mr. E. Priest, was injured and was admitted to the Royston Hospital, Hastings. The driver of the car, who did not stop, after the collision had occurred, was. subsequently interviewed by the police. As 'a result of the accident the car received extensive damage.
