TERRIFIC EXPLOSION

SYDNEY WORKSHOP BUILDING UNROOFED (Reed. July 24, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 23. A violent explosion blew off the roof and partly wrecked a brick wall of St. Peter's engineering and vulcanising works in St. Peter’s suburb on Saturday. Two workmen suffered burns to the face and arms. The explosion, the cause of which is so far unexplained, was heard two miles away and broke every window i-.i the adjacent building's.
