Loan Readily Taken Up
A loan of £IO,OOO was recently raised by the Ashburton Electric Power Board within a few hours of the meeting at which it was decided to apply to the State Advances Corporation for the loan. The chairman. Mr. E. F. Nicoll, told the board that he had received offers of more than the amount required on the night of the meeting and other offers had -been received at the board's office.
