TOURING SENIORS DOWN AGAIN

Celtic juniors ( ompF te Good Double pOVERTY BAY’S touring Rugby representatives played their third away match on Saturday and suffered their third defeat, this time at the hands of Wairarapa. The half-time score was 11—3 in favour of Wairarapa, and at the finish Poverty Bay were still further down in the scores, at 17—3. In the Malawai fixture with the Motu sub-union team, Poverty Bay’s B senior team won handily, with a score of 35 to 9. Conditions favoured the town side, which gave the country spectators a good display of football. . .. , In junior grade and other club matches in Gisborne there were interesting developments, the chief of which was the defeat of Old Boys B by Celtic in the junior competit ion.
