BOWLING CLUB OFFICERS
NOMINEES FOR POSTS POSITION OF POVERTY I’-AY Nominations closed last week for executive positions in the Poverty Bay Bowling Club, and at the election of officers at the annual meeting of the club on Thursday only one poll may be necessary, that for the committee. Single nominations have been received for the posts of president, vicepresident and bon. treasurer, while nine membess have been nominated for the seven seats ci the committee. A further call for nominations for the secretaryship will be made at the meeting as none had been received when nominations closed last week. The nominations arc as follows: President, Mr. E. E. Somervell: vicepresident, Mr. D. L. Ferguson; non. treasurer. Mr. J. Strawbridgc; committee. Messrs. A. Slight. 11. Ritchie, N. U. Shaw, F. Fredericks. F. T. Robinson. J, Buzza, D. S. Thompson, F. Elliott and J. Hartley. The position ol hon. secretary has been filled by Mr. D. J. Duncan for the past year. Kahutia Club Posts At the annual meeting of the Kahutia Bowling Club on Thursday Mr. It. B. Watt, vice-president, Air. C. G. Vail, hon. secretary, r.ud Mr. R. Jenkins, hon. treasurer, will be declared elected, theirs being the only nominations for the respective posts. The business -will include a ballot for the position of president, for which there are two nominations, while five committee members will be chosen, from seven nominees. Messrs. W. Jackson and G. McKessar have been nominated for the presidency, and Messrs,. R. Campbell, C. Corlet, T. J. Ellis, P. Fischhach, C. T. C. Hands, C. Holland and T. Holt for the committee.
