Blind Flying Trainer

The Link trainer, which has revolutionised the instruction of pilots in blind flying in recent years, will be part of the modern equipment with which the flying training school being constructed at Woodbourne aerodrome, near Blenheim, for the Royal New Zealand Air Force, will be equipped. The trainer resembles a small hooded aeroplane with fuselage, wings, ailerons and tail section, and can be used to give instruction in instrument flying and radio beam work without the pilot leaving the ground.
