“Diggers” Breaking Down
Though it is more than 20 years since the war ended, it is evident that many returned soldiers are only now ibreaking down in health as a result of the hardships and exposure of war service, and some of those war veterans are still only in their forties, says the annual report of the Hastings branch cf the Hawke’s Bay War Relief Association.
