Sir John Simon stated in the House of Commons that on July 12, Brazil informed Britail that it would welcome a representative from the British Council of Bondholders in order that the position of Brazilian Joans issued in the United Kingdom might be examined by the Minister of Finance. It is 1 understood that a similar invitation had been extended ( to French and American bondholders. The matter was receiving the consideration of the Council of Foreign Bondholders.
