BOMBER CRASH VICTIM

RESIDENT OF HAWERA PROMINENT SWIMMER (Per Tross Association.) HAWERA, this day. Flying-Officer Jobson, who was killed in the crash of a Royal Air Force bomber at Corby was the youngest of three sons of Mr. and Mrs. W. Jobson, Hawera. He was educated at Wanganui preparatory and collegiate schools, and for some tame was on the staff of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency at Hawera. He took a prominent part in the provincial swimming championships and surf life saving. After a course of training under Flying-Officer lan Keith, he nominated for the Royal Ait 1 Force and, about three years ago, went to England, earning rapid promotion.
