PROPELLER FOULED

STRANDED PORT BOWEN HAWSER ENT AN GT,E D LIGHTERING OF CARGO (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. When hauling on. the stranded cargo liner Port Bowen .last night, the Wanganui .tug Knhunui .fouled the port propeller. Every effort made to clear the hawser has so far failed and it is doubtful whether the tug will be able !to nut to sea and assist the Terawhitl to haul the stranded vessel off at high, water to-day.

Lightering is proceeding. Four boats are engaged on bringing in wool. The tug Toia has not yet arrived from Wellington. The sea is moderate but rising.
